This blog goes political (just a little)

While I don’t like McCain’s choice of running-mate (I think it smacks of “Oh, I need something to trump the African-American thing. Quick, get me a woman!” and that there were more qualified people for the job.) I am really not happy with the media's coverage of her daughter's pregnancy. Palin’s daughter being pregnant has no bearing on the campaign. Does this make Palin less qualified for the job? No. Does it mean she’s a bad parent? No. Is it a family matter? Yes.

Now, it is interesting to note that Governor Palin is a proponent of abstinence-only education in schools and the situation is further proof that that doesn’t work. However, this is a matter for the States and not the Federal Government.

I might say that she perhaps shouldn't be running for VP with a pregnant teenage daughter who probably needs some extra TLC and guidance at this time - and that it may show poor judgment on Palin's part to be running. I think the girl needs her mom to be her mom, not VP.

Dude. I think Everyone in the Universe should have age-appropriate, comprehensive, medically accurate sex ed. But of course you already knew that. I'm with you that people should consider the minor daughter off limits, as well. But they won't. I also agree with goofy girl that accepting the VP nomination is rather not a good idea for someone in this family at this specific time. Yuck. Bad call on Palin's part.
