How not to look good for client meetings*

We had a kickball game tonight. I scored a run (first one of the season for me). Also, I got on base both times I was up.

But, the best part? I was playing second base and made two outs.

Unfortunately, the second one ended up like this:

It was a forced out at second and the ball was kicked into the outfield. I stood on the base, waiting for the throw, which I caught. Right before the base runner slammed into me. I said, "Ow!" put my hand up to my face, pulled it back, looked at it, and said, "Guys? I think I'm bleeding."

That was an understatement.

At least I made the out.

*I have one tomorrow.

If they say anything, or give you a look, just growl like a Doberman when someone tries to take away his steak. Then go on with the meeting as if nothing happened.

A guy at our office had something similar happen, although his situation involved a fight at his bachelor party,requiring 8 stitches on this lower forehead. He had several client meetings that way. Look at it this way, you have an interesting story! Have a happy Independence Day!

Well at least you made the out! LOL. I would get some mederma or neosporin to help quicken the healing!
