Went out with my girls last night, danced to some 80s music. Woke up this morning (or rather, Orion woke me up (at 11)) this morning in an excellent mood. I watched some TV and then took advantage of the lovely weather (Dear friends in New England, I was outside in a T-shirt today. Love, Watergirl.) to clean out my storage shed. I can move all of the stuff in there when I go up to sign my lease. Although the kayak is probably going up the next time I head to Richmond. It's going to live with TRgirl and Randy.
(Did I mention that my new place is 5 minutes from them? And that that will be the closest I've lived to family in my entire adult life? I'm not sure I can handle it.)
I also cleaned out the pantry. Later this week will be the attic and the bathroom, followed by the room I am most dreading, the study.
Other things I need to do this week:
Schedule the move with the movers
Set up utilities.
Call about insurance.
Start working on getting my VA PE license.
Figure out what I need to do to register my car and get my VA driver's license.
Other than that, I think I'm good.

"Dear friends in New England, I was outside in a T-shirt today. Love, Watergirl." <---evil, pure evil!!! Welcome back :-)
You just need a copy of your signed lease, your old registration and drivers license a utility bill for your new address and your social security card, then you go to DMV within 30 days of your move.

Dear Watergirl, I was outside today too. In a t-shirt, sweatshirt, fleece, hat, windbreaker down coat, and gloves. Oh yeah, and don't forget the scarf to protect me from the wind that was whipping around all the snow I was attempting to shovel off the driveway, and to stop the ice pellets and snow from smacking me in the face when I was attempting to scrape 2+ feet of snow off my roof with a good-for-nothing roof rake! Fun, fun. Don't you just really miss New England, and want to come visit real soon?? ;-) Love, Phoebs
p.s. and I bet you can see your grass too, and I don't have hopes of seeing mine until at least July! On the bright side, I won't have to mow my lawn anytime soon :-)

Moving can be such a pain, but it sounds as if you have crossed your i's and dotted your t's!
