EKG results

Orion had his EKG today. It confirmed that he does have hypertrophic cardiomyopaty. However, all the valves looked good and his chambers haven't shrunk much. So the prognosis is decent. It can't be cured, but it can be treated (he'll be on drugs for the rest of his life). (The Watergirl household: everyone is medicated!).

They'll check him again in about a year to see the progression.

Oh, I'm so glad he can be treated!!! I just found out yesterday that my Max has a heart murmur; they're going to keep an eye on it for now, nothing serious yet. And poor Wolf has conjunctivitis in one eye! Shite, just what I needed, an almost $300 vet bill just before Christmas! Oh wello, that's life.

It must have been some relief to have some answers, and now everyone can have a special little pillbox ;) I hope he continues to do better!
