Windfall

Yesterday I got a bonus at work. I was all, “I will buy a bag!” “I will buy more shoes!” “I could put it towards a saddle.”

Then my back twinged, and I remembered that I really need a new mattress. So, the money will go towards that. I’m planning on getting a queen. I don’t suspect that that means the cats will no longer sleep curled up against me- I think that is most likely not a space issue.

Yes, it seems like anytime you do get a bonus at work, that's when your car will break down, the washer will break down, or some other random expense will come up so you never get to spend the bonus on what you really want, but more what you need...so it all evens out in the end and it's like you never received the bonus in the first place.

Congrats! I think you should buy me a birthday present with it, just sayin' ;-)

Congrats! Bonuses are fantastic even if they do go to mattresses - I love napping so mattresses are my friend! LOL.
