And this too shall pass

As far as the work situation goes, I am essentially being blamed for something that is not my fault, and even if it were would actually point to a whole host of other problems. Also, and even more frustrating, is that some of the people I worked with are telling my boss the exact opposite of what they told me. Which shouldn't surprise me, and yet always does.

But, I have been given the chance to start anew. I've got a new project to work on, and even though I've been told that I really have to make this one work (I have such power for a peon!) it is a project that is actually in line with my experience, which should help.

(Oh, and if I ever tell you that I've never done something and I don't know what I'm doing, what I mean is that I've never done it and I don't know what I'm doing.)

So, anyway, the work frustration should be over soon. Which will give me more free time to be frustrated about other things. Like the fact that I cannot find a wallet that I like.

Hope it goes well for you!!

Or if you're like me, you can take this opportunity to obsess about the wallet instead of work! Cause I could care less about my greasy hair now. Funny how that works...remove the primary stressor (evil roommate) and the other "stressors" feel less important!

oh how i don't miss the office/work world. i had to leave one job because my boss didn't talk to me for 6 weeks. no.contact.at.all. yeh. good times. before that was the job where i got accused of all sorts of things but still got my job done quicker and better than anyone else so they had no reason to be all poopy-headed about it. hope it all works out for you!

OK, I cannot have a blog because I cannot be as nice about crappy things as everyone else. I like to vent too much. Anyway...I am pissed FOR you. Shame on them! You turned your life upside down for them and then they dare to point the finger at you when the project has "issues." Because it obviously couldn't be the result of umpteen layers of incompetent management. OK, I'm projecting a bit but consulting is consulting. And I won't even get into the feminist equation on this topic (female + consulting + engineering = screwed?) but I am always suspicious of gender agendas (not quite rhyming, not quite alliteration, but I like it) when the blame starts flowing. Don't let it get you down.

I am in line with what Lori has to say. I have a blog but I can't blog about work which is where so much of my day is spent - the good the bad and the ugly - so instead I do memes. Ohh fun huh? Job stress sucks not finding a wallet you like is a pain in the ass. My wallet is one of those little vera bradley cloth things and I love it. Problem is I have had it so long they don't make that style anymore and I don't like the new style. Sheesh. Life can be so hard!

The people at your job sound like the people at my job...sigh. Good luck with the wallet thing!
