My first day went well. It was the usual orientation stuff, but I am thinking I am going to like it there. (Actually, I was told I would.) I may even have a career path. And there is engineering involved! That's about all I'll say on it though.
I had a lesson tonight. (One more thing: New job is 15-20 minutes from the barn. Yay!) I rode Bruno, and have decided I'm going to work on him for the next few weeks. If I can get him to move forward consistently, he's a good looking horse. I think I may do better in the dressage ring on him.

Oh I'm so glad for you that the first day went well! Congrats, my dear.
Also, can you advise me on where I could go around here to ride?
I love animals, and I have been wanting to do some low-key horseback riding for a while now. I don't know much about it, and the last time I was on a horse I was 18, but I really liked it. (Emphasis on low-key; not competition, just something like trailriding)
OK, coffee-induced talkativeness stops now.
I'm glad day one went well. It'll be nice to have that first two weeks under your belt. I find those are usually the worst; after that, you know where all the washrooms are, how to dial an outside line, who to avoid in the office... you know, all the important stuff.
Good Luck!
I'm so glad you're happy with it and that the barn is so close by. So even when and if you have a stressful day, you can end it by being with horses :-)
