Things that make me happy

It may appear that I am stealing this from Michelle, but I thought about doing this when I was getting ready for bed last night. So, it's really a case of great minds.

Anyway, here is a list of things that made me happy this week.

  1. Talking to my brother 4 times. He's one of my favorite people, and yet we don't talk much. I will try to rectify that.
  2. Jasper being very appreciative because I took him to the vet. (He gets a steroid shot every 5-6 weeks. He understands that before the shot his mouth hurts, and afterwards it doesn't.)
  3. A good ride yesterday. I learned canter leads. And also felt comfortable at the canter, finally. (Probably because I was thinking about leads and not about the canter. Revelation: I tend to overthink things.)
  4. My plans to make Easter dinner for Cdub and D.
  5. Jenna's latest post. I'm happy for her. Although I would be tempted to respond to "You never buy me nothing!" with a "No, only sometimes do I buy you nothing." Because confusing kids with proper grammar = fun!
  6. Long talks on the phone. It's been a phone week.
  7. Spring. And flowers.

This is why we'd be good friends...all my friends tend to overthink things.

I actually (fleetingly) thought of correcting the grammar of "You never buy me nothing!" but my head was about to explode so I didn't quite get to it. Between that and the copious use of the word "ain't" I've got my work cut out for me.
