I think I joined a fencing society

But not the cool kind, with the thrust and parry and epees and foils. Oh, and they told me they are the Jaycees. But I think they may have lied.

Anyway, this weekend? Busy. Saturday morning was the fencing. I headed out to Brookhill to help get things ready for the race. We only have a few more weekends, and I think I may be only able to work one more. Anyway, we fenced the paddock. I learned how to pull and mend fence. Which may serve me well someday. I'll let you know.

Best part? Our former chapter president drove us out to the paddock area in the back of his pickup. He started going rather fast over the bumps. He then slowed and said, "Sorry. Forgot I had people in the back." Well, he almost didn't.

I ran out to work that afternoon, and since I was quite tired afterward, picked up a movie on the way home. Flightplan. I enjoyed it. Of course, I would watch a movie entitled Sean Bean Sitting in a Chair for Two Hours, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Today, I woke up late, read the paper, and went back to work. (If you want to be even more jealous, I got to dump thermophilic wastewater sludge down the drain. (If you don't have any idea what I am talking about, boy howdy are you lucky!)) Met Cdub for coffee, talked her into seeing V for Vendetta. Most excellent.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to crank the music and dance. Fun for me, scares the cats. Or, as I call it, win-win.

Sean Bean was the best thing about that movie!
