Books!

I first saw this over at The Noodle Incident and then over at Michelle's. We all love books! I stole Michelle's modified version.

1) Total number of books I own?
I don't actually own that many-probably about 75. I don't have the room to keep them, so I usually give them away, donate them, or sell them to used book stores. If I keep it, it means something to me.

2) The last book I bought?
I just bought a cookbook (Easy Basics for Good Cooking) off of half.com. As far as reading books go, I've been doing the library thing lately. I did buy James Patterson's 4th of July at the used bookstore a few weeks ago.

3) The last book I read?
4th of July by James Patterson

4) What I am currently reading? Wyoming Stories, by Annie Proulx. We're discussing Brokeback Mountain at book club next month.

5) Five books that have meant a lot to me or that I loved the most
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
The Red Badge of Courage by Stephen Crane
The Mother Tongue by Bill Bryson
Trustee from the Toolroom by Nevil Shute
A Town Like Alice by Nevil Shute

Y'all play along!

Comments

I keep on reading everyone else who did this and think crap! I missed another book for #5- and the same thing happened here. The Kite Runner was just a great book, and so intensely sad at some points. I haven't read some of the others in your list for #5, more for me to check out!! Yea!

I loved Bill Bryson's A Walk in the Woods, but as I read more and more of his books, I came to dislike his sarcasm. Perhaps I overdosed on it ;-)

I need to make some sort of queue for books I want to read. Unfortunately I keep buying and buying new books and never get around to the ones recommended to me at the library. Must. Do.
