The weekend? Fabulous!

The weekend started out with the company Christmas Party. I won a special award. The "It's My Party and I'll Cry if I Want to" award. It's really cute and funny, and I'd scan it so that y'all could see, but there's no way to hide the company logo. Anyway, the menu was good, the company was good. There was dancing, once they started playing more recent music. (Seriously, they started out with "Wolly Bully" and "The Twist." )

Saturday, Cdub and I helped build for Habitat for Humanity. Someone is getting a house that I put the flashing up on. There were ladders involved. And Cdub saying, "Don't fall!" (Me: If I fall, you have to call my mom.) Then we got cleaned up and went out to dinner (The Rockford! Oh how I love you!) with 2.0 and CP. Then, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Loved it! Even though we got there 10 minutes before the movie started, so we had seats in the second row.

Today, I went shopping. I got a skirt I need for an event Thursday. Also, I finished almost all of my Christmas shopping. 2 gifts left! And I got a birthday card from Bud, with a funny cartoon that he drew me. He's a pretty good brother- the card was late, but he did call on my birthday, which is something I can say for only 2/3 of my siblings.

Shocker of the weekend? Cdub likes curling. Will yell at the curling on the TV.

Comments

Hey, I curl! Well, of course I do, I'm Canadian. :) That said, I don't often yell at the TV while it's on, but I am prone to snorting derisively and rolling my eyes at the commentary. The finals of our Olympic Trials were on this weekend and they were fun to watch. We're sending two very good teams to the show this year, which is good: We need a couple of medals to make ourselves feel better.
