Stuff I forgot to tell you

Sorry, y'all.    Things that were not grocery shopping happened this week.  Cool things!  Fun things!  Things I didn't tell you about, because I was so excited about the groceries!

I rode twice this week, because I had canceled last Thursday's lesson.  See, I will ride in the rain.  I will ride in the cold.  I will not ride when it is cold and rainy.  The makeup lesson was with a friend of mine- she started riding last year after winning the riding lesson at the WFL silent auction.  It was not a good lesson for me.   I had an off day.  My rhythm was way off, and I couldn't sit the trot.  I couldn't make a turn down centerline.   It was like I'd never done this before.  It was very frustrating.  Unfortunately, it happens sometimes.  I rode again on Thursday- I was on Solie (Bruno Tues.).  It was a much better ride.  We did no hands work in the round pen, and then worked on the centerline thing.  People, I can be taught.  Or maybe Solie can.  One of us, anyway.

On Wednesday, I went to meet Paige.   Her mom (who is a Ph.D. student) had a class to teach that night, so Babu was all alone with the baby.  She is tiny, gorgeous, and has the longest fingers.  I was impressed with Babu, who handed me the baby when I walked in, and sat calmly by as I held her, switching positions frequently, sitting down, walking around, rocking her.  (Disclaimer:  I am the eldest of 4, and the second eldest of the 18 cousins.  I know from babies.)  I did leave when it was diaper change time.

Friday I went out to dinner with Cdub.  Due to extenuating circumstances on both our parts, we hadn't seen each other lately.  (We do IM every day.)  This was, I thought, to celebrate her new position.  See, currently she works for the same company I do, albeit in a different office.  (My old office.  Poor Cdub.)  However, she found another position, with a smaller company, with different responsibilities than she has now.  It's a scary time, but I'm excited for her, and I hope she's excited too.  She is very good at what she does and will have no problem impressing her new employer.  Anyway, long story short, I still owe her a dinner.

OK, that's about it from here.  Stay tuned- I'm thinking of going to Target tomorrow.
