2 weeks? It's been 2 weeks?

I am typing this entry on my new home computer. It is a beautiful thing. Fast, with a 17" flat screen monitor. Also, 9-in-1 media card reader, so that I can easily download pictures from the digtal camera I hope to get for my birthday and Christmas.

This weekend, WaterPartners had a booth at La Fiesta del Pueblo, a Latino festival at the fairgrounds. Fun and free tortillas. Good food too. When I saw Cool Boss this morning, he asked me, "How was Tierra del Fuego?" I asked, "Wha?" and he said, "You went this weekend." That is a long weekend trip I tell you.

AT&T wants me to upgrade to their GSM network (currently I use the TMDA network), but they still have very limited coverage in VA. Seriously, if I am not in NC, I am most likely in VA, so this does not work.

Today at work I mixed water into soil using my hands. Why, yes, I do have a Master's Degree. Why do you ask?

Why this entry? Sheer boredom is why.

2: The number of messages that Cdub left me about her broken water heater.

Not one fuckin' thing: Number of things I know about water heaters.

3: The number of days in a row that I have not had to park in the vistors lot at my complex.

5: The current number of teeth in Jasper's mouth. That number does not include the tooth that is on my counter because I think I ought to show it to the vet. Although I don't know why I think that. Maybe he will give me money.

All the news that's fit to, well, put on the internet

Yesterday I had another show. Won two ribbons (2nd places). I improved on my Test A score, but my Test B score went down slightly. Next time!

CDM called me today. They want to talk to me about a position in their Chicago office. I don't know about Chicago. I mean, I'll get back to them, but I don't know about Chicago. Any of y'all know about Chicago, e-mail me.

Maybe the fact that I'm not married is not surprising

So, TRgirl called me yesterday. First, I would like to point out that she did not tell me about the jobs she's been interviewing for, or about how her trip to the Albany area was last weekend. What we did have was the following conversation:

TRgirl: Does Independence Air assign seats, or are they like Southwest?
H2O: They assign seats.
TR: Oh. 'Cause [the BIL] and I have to fly to Syracuse next month, and Southwest doesn't go there. Also, it's cheaper to fly Independence from Dulles to Syracuse. But we can each save $25 on the ticket if we join their frequent flyer club (True that! I've done it.), but then we have to book separately. But then we won't get seats together.
H2O: And?
TR: Well, we can't sit together.
H2O: But, it's like an hour and a half flight on a 50 seat plane.
TR: But we won't get seats together.
H2O: $50 savings.
TR: But we want to sit together.
H2O: But you see each other everyday. What, he's going to meet someone else on the plane?

I think I managed to suggest if the seat thing was such a big deal (still flummoxed here), they don't have to choose seats when they purchase, and can maybe get seated together if they check in together.

My confusion may stem from the fact that I don't really need to spend every minute of my day with anyone. Hell, I lock the cats up when they annoy me.

I need a hug!

So, my resume was supposed to be discussed at a meeting on Monday, and then I was supposed to hear. I have heard nothing, which means that there was something there they didn't like. So I have gone from 2 offices in another company being interested in my to none. Quite the ego blow, I tell you. Now, I am still looking for another position, not because I don't like my job, but I don't like my career path. I have tried talking to my bosses about it, but they aren't very eager to help. C'est la vie. Or at least mine.
